Born in Naples (Italy), music started calling her at a very young
age, giving a home to the strong sensitiveness that characterized her childhood. There were the
first times when the image of a music career formed in her young mind. Another important
concept developed over time: independence. Being an only child Jamma’s attitude has frequently
gravitated towards a form of loneliness that gradually translated into a creative solitude, where
she found comfort in the idea of single-handedly handling both the writing and the production
phases of music. All of this, led her to a deep study of composition and recording techniques that
she applies thoughtfully in her works. Along years of nurturing her love for singing, piano and
guitar, she was also able to earn a degree in economics in Milan, her second home. Her mother’s
passing, however, shook her stability and put her choices into a new perspective: the realization
of the transitory nature of life moved her to prioritize music in a way that she had never done
before. She took the big jump across the ocean, leaving her home country and moving to Los
Angeles to attend Musicians Institute, where she is currently a student in the Independent Artist
program.
So what’s next? On the American grounds she is restlessly working on a new project that takes
the English language and applies the metaphorical style of the Italian songwriting, borrowing
sounds from the funk and blues scenes, which have been and still are her main environment in her
American experience. at the moment she is working on the release of her first single titled "farewell".
